Originally designed for trappers, hunters, and fishermen on expeditions along Canada’s Hudson Bay, it is light, well balanced, and perfect for cutting smaller wood and pounding stakes. Long a favorite of trappers, it is also called the Hudson Bay Trapping Axe.
