This heavy duty Beaver trap that was designed for hind foot trapping has a proof-link chain thawt is center mounted, welded "j" hooks and very large swivels. The jaws are riveted to jaw posts that are bolted into the base, springs are purposely short to allow for easy pivoting inside the jaws for easy carrying. The straddle pan has a notch for visual dog engagement and is attached with a SS bolt and brass nut. The bolt is crimped after assembly to prevent the nut from spinning off freely. The weight of this trap alone will aide in the drowning of the beaver. And to add a little class there's a beaver stamped on each spring.
